It’s Not About How Hard You Work On Your Blog

October 18, 2012 0 comments Article Productivity

smartWe tend to think we deserve credit for hard work.

We don’t.

Everyone can work hard.

It’s not until you start working smarter that you deserve any kind of credit … and even then, who cares? It’s not about credit, it’s about building something, reaching people, having fun, and maybe even creating something you can count on to be there when your employer lays you off.

Don’t worry about how much time you spend working on your blog — doesn’t matter. Instead ask yourself, “what am I achieving with my blog?” What are you building? What problems are you working on solving?

When you focus on the time you spend and how tired you are, you sound like the majority of the work force … and they don’t like their job. The idea here is to escape the 9 to 5 so you can spend all of your time with your blog … what you love most!

That’s working smart, not hard.
